LASER HAIR REDUCTION

Using an intense, controlled laser beam, our highly trained medical team will apply a handheld laser device directly on treated areas. The laser passes through the skin beneath the surface, damaging the hair follicle and inhibiting further hair growth.

This cosmetic procedure is safe for both men and women and can thin out or remove hair from several areas of the body. Our most treated areas are the face, underarms, and bikini line. However, we can treat several other areas of the body. We recommended several sessions in order to achieve desired results and completely disable all hair follicles in the treated area.

LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

Of the 25 percent of Americans who reportedly have tattoos, it is estimated that about half of them have at least one that they regret. At Rao Dermatology, our tattoo removal services give you optimal results while also focusing on patient safety and comfort.

Laser tattoo removal works by applying controlled beams of laser light directly to the tattoo. The light bypasses the skin’s surface and breaks up the pigment in the tattoo. While black ink absorbs all light wavelengths and is the easiest to remove, colored tattoos may require different lasers in order to be successfully treated.

On average, most small and medium-sized tattoos can be removed within two to four sessions, although more may be required depending on the size and coloring. Prior to treatment, your skin may be tested with the laser to determine the most effective wavelength.
